Today’s medical offices require employees
to perform multiple computer tasks using Microsoft
Windows XP, Word and Excel as well as email and calendar
programs. This course provides the student with
proficient level computer skills to excel in a medical
office. Designed for the beginner, the student will
learn medical terminology and medical billing and coding
using ICD9 and CPT coding systems, will be enabled to
prepare and process medical insurance claims and process
claims using a Medical Patient billing application.

commonly used medical terms as they relate to the body
systems. This is foundational and pertinent to health
industry services. It is a fun class!

Coding -
Certificate Course $290
Learn the basics of coding for diagnostic
and procedural healthcare services using ICD-9 and CPT
coding systems. The student will complete actual claim
forms in class and use medical billing software to
process claims. Common insurance programs will be
discussed. Medical Terminology is prerequisite for this
